Sewer rehabilitation works update
We have received the following update from Anglian Water with regards to the work they will be carrying out.
“We are planning to rehabilitate the sewerage system by relining the sewer and manhole chambers to reduce ground water infiltration. We plan to start construction from 8th May 2018 and the works should last for approximately 5 weeks. The works are carried out during working hours only from Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).
In order to keep our site team and the public safe, we will need to close the road in stages with diversion route agreed with the highways. Please note that each road closure section won’t be closed all at once. The closure is only a small section at one time and we will be moving along the road as the works progress. Access to local residents and emergency services will be maintained at all times. The closure is only applied during working hours and will be open after a day’s shift, at weekends and bank holidays.
We will try to keep the disruption to a minimum and try our best to complete the works within the stated closure dates. We hope you understand that sometimes there may be issues on site outside our control(i.e. wet weather conditions, etc) which may delay our programme. However we will keep you updated with any significant delays.
We have now received permit from highways and we have also informed Sanders Coach and they are aware and happy with the closure/diversion. We will be issuing out letter drops to residents early next week and have contacted the businesses within the immediate closure. Our website link to the works has also been updated https://inyourarea.digdat.co.uk/.”
