Traffic Road Order

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation
Order (NTRO7426) affecting the Horsey Road from 1000m northwest of its junction
with Staithe Road for 150m north-westwards in the PARISH OF SOMERTON to
facilitate BT pole works.

The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) on 11 th January 2024 for the
duration of the works expected to be about 1 day within the period.

Alternative route is via: Horsey Road, Somerton Road, Palling Road, Coast Road,
Waxham Road, Stalham Road, Sea Palling Road, Mill Road, Town Road, Ingham
Road, Lower Staithe Road, Old Market Road, A149 Yarmouth
Road/Bypass/Yarmouth Road/High Road, Repps Road, White Street, Somerton
Road, Martham Road, Horsey Road (Sutton, Hickling, Sea Palling, Repps with
Bastwick, Ludham, Horsey, Ingham, Catfield, Stalham, Martham, Potter Heigham,
Somerton).

If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the
date of the Order.

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

Notice of a Parish Council Meeting Monday 11th December 2023 at 7pm

The next meeting of Hickling Parish Council will take place on Monday 11th December 2023 at the Chapel Rooms starting at 7.00pm. There will be representatives from Norfolk Wildlife Trust who will be giving an update. As with all Council meetings members of the public and press are most welcome. There will be a period of up to 15mins (chair discretion) for members of the public to ask questions, and bring matters to the Council.
